Moving in Time
Dates: 7th - 13th July, 2025
Location: Open Garden at Westhay, nr Charmouth
Open to anyone who has already moved with me.
The week will be in two parts.
1) Monday-Friday, free for anyone to visit whenever you like.
2) Friday evening - Sunday evening, a more structured programme for the weekend.

Moving in Time – Westhay Garden
Monday, 7th July (morning) - Friday, 11th July (5pm)
One of the things I loved about Prapto’s land in Java was that it was a space open to the public, as well as a practice space. It was a kind of informal park/garden space, lightly contained and I never quite knew what or whom I would find there, going to move in the early morning or at dusk.
I have wanted for some time to create that possibility or atmosphere at Westhay, for those of you familiar with Move into Life or Amerta Movement. Westhay Garden has been a place for many of you to move, over the years, both with me and with Prapto.
The garden is full of movement traces and memories and in 2025 it would like to be an Open Garden for a week, when you are welcome to come and move here at any time.
Westhay Garden is your host and witness over these 5 days of open practice.
The theme is Time, however you would like to work with that – literally or metaphorically, in the world of fact or in the world of dream
You are welcome to come and to move in the garden at any time from Monday morning until Friday afternoon, following your own rhythm. Know that you are witnessed by the garden and your movement traces will join many other layers of movements that have passed by here over the years.
You may find yourself apparently ‘alone’ here or you may find others moving in the garden, including me or Andrew.
The studio will be open to make hot drinks, for a little bit of shelter, for the loo, and so you can leave coats, picnic lunches, etc. Any daily notices/messages will be posted there. You can come and go as you please.
On Thursday evening there may be a Full Moon gathering in the garden – more details nearer the time.
Parking each day will be at the top of Stonebarrow, in the National Trust car park or you can walk up and down from Charmouth along the coast path. If you need to drive down- no problem – just let me know in advance when you are coming and I can reserve a parking space for you down here.
You are responsible for organising your own accommodation – if you are looking for people to share a cottage or caravan with, do let me know in case I can put you in touch with anyone. I can also let you have some ideas about possible accommodation.

This weekend will be on Open Space principles, with shared food and expenses. A question will be sent out to all participants before the gathering and from the responses received a focus question for the weekend will have been decided, based on the theme of Time.
On Friday evening we’ll co-create the schedule for the rest of the weekend and share an evening meal together. The rest of the weekend will unfold until 11pm on Sunday.
Please let me know by 2nd June email if you would like to come at some point during the week and/or to the weekend gathering, so that I can keep some track of numbers and send you further details as they evolve.
