Body in Movement I + II
Move into Life Introductory Workshops
(Part of the Move into Life workshop cycle)
My intention over these 2 weekends (through a series of simple movement explorations) is for you to get to know your movement as clearly as possible, as it is now, and to support your perception of how you move, to stimulate your awareness of your surroundings as you move and to offer suggestions that may expand your movement vocabulary, opening up more choices for you.

Move into Life: Environmental Movement
(Part of the Move into Life workshop cycle)
Moving on the beach, this environmental movement workshop introduces the skills of being/becoming viscerally aware of your own movements as part of the natural movements around you.. Your body-in-movement is one part of the choreography of movements surrounding you – the rhythm of the sea, the gusts of wind, the trickle of shingle, the impression in the sand, the flight of a bird, the fleeting gesture of a companion.

Strata is an opportunity, through the art and practice of movement, to get a new perspective on the stories you tell yourself about yourself.
Take six days to be curious about your ever-changing self, to interrupt habits, to receive feedback, to appreciate the sheer joy of movement, to embrace the unknown and to allow creativity to emerge from your life experiences.

12th - 18th September, 2026 ~ Westhay Garden, nr Charmouth, West Dorset
The Ecological Body
(Part of the Move into Life workshop cycle)
This is a 7-day workshop introducing and exploring ecological movement.
Our bodies are conditioned by an alienated view of themselves as being at the ‘centre’ of the world, or at the pinnacle of a hierarchy of usage -- ‘apart’, with a fixed sense of self and attempting always to control the environment.
Those same bodies can be trained to reconnect with a corporeal, embodied sense of themselves as being a fluid part of an interconnected environment.
Gradually we learn to move more fluidly with change, embodying less resistance or grasping and reacting less to it. The world becomes a shared habitat rather than owned territory.

Moving with Others - Noticing Patterns
(Part of the Move into Life workshop cycle)
Movement exploration can offer an alternative lens through which to become aware of our attitudes and the patterns in the ways we communicate with others.
Positioned on the shifting threshold of our inner and outer landscapes, we move with each other; sometimes giving more value to our inner worlds, sometimes fascinated by the world outside and by other people.
