Eco Supervision with Therese O'Driscoll 23rd - 24th April, 2016 ~ Wootton Fitzpaine, West Dorset
A weekend workshop for new and established supervisors working with therapists, counsellors and coaches in any field Ecological awareness provides a helpful lens to explore how all systems -- including families, organisations, society and ecosystems -- are interrelating with one another and with the 'individual'. Therese combines this systemic approach with her experience of working as a supervisor through the body moving and in relationship with place. This is what she calls Eco Supervision - a tool for transformational learning and reflective practice. ('Working through the body moving' does not require that the supervisee (counsellor/therapist) be working in this way with their clients. It means that the supervisor will bring this approach or lens into their supervision work.) Workshop programme and details “Our body moves as our mind moves. The qualities of any movement are a manifestation of how mind is expressing through the body at that moment”
Bonnie Bainbridge-Cohen “We are talking only to our ourselves. We are not talking to the rivers, we are not listening to the wind and the stars. We have broken the great conversation” Thomas Berry, The Dream of the Earth “We strongly agree that supervision should not be reduced to the human and material realms, but should also be open to the ‘more than human world" Peter Hawkins & Robin Shohet, Supervision in the Helping Professions This weekend workshop will explore:
