What does ‘to relax’ mean for you? To relax in movement?
During the opening all-day Zoom workshop (6th Feb) we shall investigate and explore or revisit in depth what relaxation, arriving, landing and breathing bring to our movement when we do not shortcut that process. We shall also question through movement and share together what is meant by ‘receiving’ for each of us, in our own particular ways. How do I receive myself? How do I receive you? How do I receive my surroundings?
We shall then have time to digest and integrate this process in 4 early-morning sessions on the next four Fridays.
The second full-day Zoom workshop, one month later on 6th March, will build on Relax and Receive and explore Remember and Release. As we move, associations, memories or images may arise. How do we acknowledge and move with these from a place of witnessing and spaciousness in ourselves, but still utterly involved in the composition of our movement and the choices and choosing it reveals to us? Finally how do we nurture ourselves by letting go rather than keeping?
(This is a two-stage workshop with 4 early morning sessions in between the 2 workshop days , to sustain our exploration. Priority will be given to those who can do both full days. If there are places it may be possible to do just Relax and Receive with the option of the subsequent morning sessions .)
The morning sessions will consist of 45 minutes movement and 30 minutes meditation.
