Moving Constellations
(This workshop is jointly led by Zita Cox and Sandra Reeve)
Dates: to be announced
Location: Wootton Fitzpaine, West Dorset
Explore Environmental Constellations alongside Move into Life.
Family Constellations (like Systemic Constellations) is a long-established and widely respected approach that is designed to release and resolve tensions within and between people. Zita has pioneered the application of the Family Constellations approach to issues relating to the environment. Environmental Constellations are a versatile tool for observing our place in nature and our relationships to other living beings. (Read more about Environmental Constellations.)
Move into Life is an approach that helps us become more aware of the relationship between our movement, our attitudes and our habits. One important focus of Move into Life work is on environmental and ecological movement - helping each of us become more aware of our place 'among' - rather than 'at the centre of' - things, other people and other systems.
Both practices share an interest in systemic connections. Both seek to incorporate an inclusive and sustainable approach to life.
This is a rare opportunity to explore the wider environmental context of our personal or professional lives, to change perspectives and to initiate changes.
I am excited by this opportunity to explore embodiment, movement and mindfulness in relation to a systemic approach which works through the pattern of positions. It feels like a direct way to experience myself as one part of the many systems which I inhabit as an individual within the community and on the earth.
It seems to me that if someone chooses to work with their family constellation, they may be able to touch the imprint of their family/'ancestors' on their own movement and to work with that from a new perspective. And if someone chooses to engage with an environmental issue, I imagine that experiencing the associated positions, pathways and patterns through movement may open up all kinds of unexpected possibilities and insights into the situation.
Both Constellations and Move into Life work have applications in healthcare, in organisations (for example, NGOs and legal practices), in education and - of course - in our daily lives. This workshop is open to anyone interested in the resonance of systems, including counsellors, therapists, teachers, health and other practitioners. No previous experience of constellations or movement work is needed.
Cost: £130 for the weekend (excluding accommodation).
This workshop has already run. Sign-up for to receive details of new workshops as they are arranged.
