Active and Passive

The active/passive dynamic, which is taught in pair work, is a way of recognising through characteristic movement patterns:

how I am influenced by the other to initiate an action.
the quality of action/movement that I initiate (how strong or how weak, how direct or how indirect)
the consequences of that action for the other in the environment
how that influences them to respond to me
the imprint of the exchange between each pair on the wider situation
